John Otis
Otis is an author and journalist based in Colombia. Previously the South America bureau chief for the Houston Chronicle, Otis’ work has been featured in NPR, Time, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. In 2024, he was a gold medal winner of the Maria Moors Cabot Prize from the Journalism School at Columbia University for outstanding reporting in the Americas.
