Join Americas Quarterly in New York on January 15 for a conversation between AQ Editor-in-Chief Brian Winter and Alex Cuadros, author of When We Sold God’s Eye: Diamonds, Murder, and a Clash of Worlds in the Amazon (Grand Central Publishing, December 2024). In his latest book, Cuadros tells the unbelievable true story of the Cinta Larga, a tribe that had no contact with the outside world until the 1960s and came to run an illegal diamond mine in the Amazon.

This event is free of charge and will be followed by a reception. Americas Society members will receive preferential seating, and pre-registration is required.
