Projected GDP Growth in Latin America for 2018

After suffering the effects of the collapse in global commodity prices, Latin America’s economies are on track to gradual recovery in 2018. The news is particularly welcome in Brazil, which in 2017 emerged from its worst recession on record, and Ecuador and Argentina. The exception remains Venezuela, where economic contraction is expected to continue compounding political and humanitarian crises.
