The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies of the University of Connecticut focuses on traditional liberal arts disciplines such as migrant and development studies, ecology and human rights, and actively collaborates with other Latin American studies institutions.

The Red de Seguridad y Defensa de América Latina (RESDAL) was created in 2001 to strengthen civic and academic groups across the region, and to spread democratic thought and ideal.

 

 

 

 

Vanderbilt University Latin American Public Opinion Project

The Latin American Public Opinion Project (LAPOP) began as a study of democratic values in Costa Rica over two decades ago. Today, LAPOP conducts surveys in over 23 countries of the hemisphere interviewing over 36,000 individuals, and maintains its AmericasBarometer database.
