In this issue of AQ, we highlight five Latin Americans who use radio, photography, filmmaking, literature and music to amplify unheard voices and bring overlooked stories to light.

They include a Peruvian podcaster who grew up in Alabama, a Haitian writer who grew up in New York, and a Chilean rapper who grew up in France. Their experiences as immigrants and outsiders connect them to the people whose stories they tell.

Our list also includes an iconic Argentine photographer and a genre-bending musician from Puerto Rico. Together, these five storytellers are a testament to the power of an individual voice to bring people together – and a reminder that all of our stories are worth telling.
